Dynamiters’ Lindal commits to ACHA Jimmies

Tyler Lindal of the Kimberley Dynamiters has committed to the University of Jamestown Jimmies in the American Collegiate Hockey Association for next fall.

Lindal, 20, has 10 points in 25 games this season, his third with the Dynamiters.

“I am very excited for my future at a great university while playing for an outstanding hockey program,” said the Humboldt, Sask., native. “The Dynamiters helped me mature my game. Playing in the KIJHL’s best organization, you need consistency and that’s where the organization has helped me grow the most.”

Lindal has improved his release this season, getting shots off quicker. He’s three goals shy from tying his season best of seven. In his previous two seasons, Lindal played in 79 regular season games and had 16 points, and added seven points in 27 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games.

“Tyler is very deserving of this opportunity and has earned it through hard work and dedication,” said Dynamiters head coach-general manager Derek Stuart. “He is exactly what we want in a Dynamiter. The entire organization is very happy for Tyler.”

Lindal has played in 104 regular season games and has 26 points.
