KIJHL Power Rankings Week 10 – (Nov.27)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 10th week of regular season action for the 2022-23 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide final positions.

Revelstoke Grizzlies

Last Week: 1

Record: 15-1-2-3

The Grizzlies maintain their top position after a 3-0 win against the Castlegar Rebels. Jake Wallace led with a goal and an assist, while Jozef Kuchaslo made 24 saves for his fourth shutout in 13 games. He had four shutouts in 16 games last season.

Nelson Leafs

Last Week: 2

Record: 14-3-2-1

Tristan Magis netted a hat-trick, while Seamus Boyd had a goal and three assists in the Leafs’ 7-1 win over the Kelowna Chiefs. Frederick Larochelle stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced for his seventh win.

Princeton Posse

Last Week: 3

Record: 16-4-0-2

The Posse won all three of their games last week, defeating Osoyoos 5-4; Sicamous 6-5 in overtime and North Okanagan, 7-2. Anmol Garcha led the Posse with four goals and two assists in three games. He scored the winner against North Okanagan. Peyton Trzaska returned to the Posse from Junior A and picked up wins against Osoyoos and North Okanagan, while Ethan Rau got the win against Sicamous.

Columbia Valley Rockies

Last Week: 4

Record: 15-4-0-2

The Rockies faced the Grand Forks Border Bruins again, earning a 6-1 win. Brett Sweet stopped 19 of 20 shots for the win. Kayde Kinaschuk led the Rockies with three points, while Anthony Domina had two goals.

Kimberley Dynamiters

Last Week: 5

Record: 14-6-1-1

The Dynamiters split their games last weekend, similar to the previous one. They edged 100 Mile House 2-1, then lost 3-0 to the Golden Rockets. Cam Reid led the Dynamiters with two points.Â
