The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its fourth week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.
The Princeton Posse maintained its No.1 position with a pair of wins, 3-1 over the Osoyoos Coyotes and 3-2 over the Revelstoke Grizzlies in a shootout. Against the Coyotes, Matthew Langdon scored the winner with Gibson Horne making 50 saves, while Will Bell was the shootout hero against the Grizzlies.
The Nelson Leafs hold their No.2 spot by winning two of their three games in the Cariboo. The Leafs began their road trip with a 5-3 win over Williams Lake, then defeated the Quesnel River Rush 6-5. They lost 6-3 to the 100 Mile House Wranglers.Â
The Kimberley Dynamiters earned their first spot in the Power Rankings at No. 3 following a 7-4 win over the Spokane Braves, and a 5-2 win over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Luke Davis scored the winner against the Braves, while Riley Langille netted the winner against the Nitehawks with his fourth goal of the season.
The Grand Forks Border Bruins jumped a spot to No. 4 with two wins in three games. The Border Bruins opened the week with a 5-1 win over Quesnel, then defeated Williams Lake 7-1 and lost to the Kamloops Storm, 6-3. Tyler Burke led with five points, including four goals in the three games.
The Columbia Valley Rockies earn their first spot in the Power Rankings at No. 5. They are ahead of the Revelstoke Grizzlies by virtue of wins. The Rockies played one game this week, defeating the Castlegar Rebels 4-2 at home. Ashton Sledz scored the winner with his third goal of the season.
