Dynamiters’ Spooner commits to BCIHL’s Lakers

Remy Spooner is going back home to play collegiate hockey.

The Okanagan Lakers of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League recently announced their commitment to the Kelowna native, who finished his junior hockey career with the Kimberley Dynamiters.

Spooner produced 16 points in 20 regular season games and added 15 points in 16 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games. Spooner came to the Dynamiters in a trade from the Rockland Nationals.

The 6-1, 175-pound forward began his junior hockey career in the BCHL, playing 28 games. He also played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and Central Canada Hockey League. 

In three junior hockey seasons, Spooner played 103 career regular season games. He scoring 23 goals, adding 22 assists for 45 points.
